This policy describes how Groundswell Change (collectively “Groundswell Change,” “we” or “us”) collect, use, transfer and disclose your information. 

In this privacy statement, we explain what we do with the data we obtain about you. We recommend you carefully read this statement. In our processing we comply with the requirements of privacy legislation. That means, among other things, that:

This Policy covers information Groundswell Change collects in connection with our Consulting Services and Basecamp Fellowship Program (collectively, the “Services”).  This Policy also covers information collected through: 

  • websites we operate from which you are accessing this Policy (the “Site”), 

  • our social media pages and apps to which the Site links (collectively, our “Social Media Pages”), and 

  • email messages we send to you that link to this Policy (collectively, including the Site, Apps, and our Social Media Pages, the “Online Systems”). 

This Policy also covers other means by which we collect information. For example, it also covers how we collect information from in person discussions, telephone or virtual meeting conversations, and through non-electronic communications (i.e., collection through other means than our Online Systems). 

What information we collect: 

Groundswell Change collects information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable individual (“Personal Information”) to provide services to you and to operate our business. The type of Personal Information we collect about you depends on the situation at hand. 

  • Identity Data includes first name, last name 

  • Contact Data includes email address, telephone numbers, and business information.  

  • Profile data includes your interests and preferences submitted via interest forms and enrollment questionnaires or information  

  • Personal Information when you share information about yourself to our consultants or contact us via e-mail, electronic forms, telephone or postal mail. 

  • Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and other technology on the devices you use to access this website. 

  • Usage Data includes information about how you access and use our website, products and services. 

  • Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and your communications preferences 

  • When you are utilizing our Online Systems, we may collect login user credentials like usernames, passwords, and password hints. 

  • When you buy something on this website, we collect personal information from you to fulfill the order. 

Please do not provide us with any of your information if you do not agree with this Policy.

We may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

Groundswell Change is committed to protecting the security of your personal data.

Retention of Your Personal Data  

We will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods. 

Disclosure of Your Personal Data  

Business Transactions 

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let post a prominent notice on Our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
